FACE FIT TESTING, ON OR OFF-SITE

We provide face-fit testing and training services for your workforce. If your company or any of your workforce use a tight fitting respirator by law they will need to have a face fit test certificate.

. These masks include, but are not limited to, the following:

– Disposable masks
– Half-masks
– Full-face masks
– Power-assisted masks
– Negative pressure masks
– Self-contained breathing apparatus
– Air-fed breathing apparatus

There are two distinct types of fit-test methods, qualitative and quantitative. Each test will record extensive details about the process, including the name of the person being fitted, the make and model of the mask, the date the test was carried out, the type of test used, the pass/fail information of the test and the name of the person and company carrying out the test.

There are several exercises for the individual to carry out while the testing is taking place, to cover any eventuality of possible fit compromise.

These exercises include:

– Normal breathing while at rest or doing light activities
– Deep breathing while working or under physical exertion
– Moving head side-to-side
– Moving head up and down
– Bending and moving to extremes of reach
– Talking normally

On completion of a successful test a certificate will be issued to the individual or company, authenticating the validity of the face fit
